1) Make discharge paste:
1/2 cup thick chemical water
1 tsp thiox
1 tsp soda ash
2) I applied the discharge paste to fabric that we had dyed through an immersion dying process in a previous class period.
I applied the discharge on a stamp that I made, and then stamped the fabric.
I applied the discharge directly on this strip with a paint brush.

3) I heated and dried the discharge by blow drying the fabric on a high setting.
4) I ironed the fabric between a pressing cloth. This step made the discharge areas much brighter and took away more color.
5) Next, I washed the fabric swatches and hung them to dry.
6) I ironed the dry swatches and cut them down to 8"x8".
